Lawn Aeration
Many lawn care companies recommend a core aeration once a year, either in spring or fall.
Cores are usually gone from your lawn in about a week and holes generally fill back in within a week or two.
So what are the benefits of core aeration?
It lessens soil compaction which may be preventing water and fertilizer to reach the roots.
Aids in breaking up some thatch buildup.
Helps to promote stronger roots and healthier grass.
It is also okay to mow your lawn after an aeration as the mower will help break up the cores and mulch them back into the soil.
